IIB requires Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0 or later, which is included with Windows NT/Windows 2000 Server or another web server that is capable of running Active Server Pages (ASP).

The browser requires Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater.

IIB Professional comes with an Access runtime database.

IIB Enterprise requires Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 or 2000.
