Security - When you create a web in IIB the default is that anyone can access the Intranet homepages and all of the Intranet web's pages. For most clients, an Intranet is a tool to share information and to collaborate so the Intranet pages have open access. However, there are needs to publish secured information on the Intranet. When security is an issue, EBS has the answer with the Web Security Module. Note the security being addressed here is for end users viewing the Intranet content. Users of IIB itself use the separate built-in IIB security function to allow users to add and maintain Intranet content as noted below.

	Windows Network Login Integration
	The web Security Module allows you to specify any web as a "secure web"( note that in IIB you can create as many webs as you wish and a web can have from one to basically unlimited pages). User groups in Windows Active Directory can be granted access to a secured web utilizing the users existing network login information.

	Web Security
	Since an IIB web can have one or many pages you can create or utilize existing Active Directory groups and grant access to one page or any page collection for the users in the desired groupings.

	IIB User Security
	Security for those who build pages, edit pages, publish documents and in general use IIB to build and maintain the Intranet are secured using a built-in IIB security system. Only a small subset of users will normally build content and these users are easily maintained in the IIB user system. The administrator(s) set up Web Builder and Page Owner levels for secured access to IIB.
