Instant Intranet Builder and Document Management - Instant Intranet Builder (IIB) provides a number of key document management elements. IIB also makes full use of your in-place document structure plus your access and update processes.
Document Structure and Access
IIB lets you choose between linking to documents in their existing directory structure, or as you select documents, moving them automatically to a secured directory. Linking to in-place documents lets you take advantage of your existing document structure. You have folder structures, permissions, review and update processes already in place. By linking to documents where they live you leverage your existing structures and processes.
Document Management Elements
IIB lets you enter a document owner, notes about the document and document review (or "expiration " ) dates. Documents at or past their review date for a page, or for a whole web, can be viewed at a click. Email notifications of documents reaching their review/expiration date can be enabled as well.
Additional Document Management Integration
Custom integrations can be provided to your document management system of choice if your processes require additional functionality beyond the document management elements built-in to IIB.
